We offer blower door testing services to identify air leakage in your home. This is now required for all new construction per the energy code adopted by Maine.

We can also perform diagnostic testing which includes pinpointing the leakage through thermal imaging and theatrical smoke generation.

Home Energy Score
Home Energy Score rates your home's energy efficiency on a scale of 1 – 10, with 10 indicating the most efficient homes. Developed by the Department of Energy, the score also generates recommendations and cost savings, and gives a score based on those improvements. It is not as comprehensive as our energy audits but can help qualify you for energy efficient loans just by having one completed!

Some states require a home energy score before being listed for sale. (Maine is not one of them)
Air Sealing
Air sealing is a crucial step in improving your home's energy efficiency, comfort and indoor air quality. It often is the least expensive and a great starting point to achieve your goals. Lakewood Home Energy is a registered vendor with Efficiency Maine, and can offer rebates of up to 80% for air sealing. We air seal with different types of foams, backer rod, weather stripping and caulk
